or did you never bother to actually read the biblical creation myth, because "god" had already created "Eve" before Caine & Able were even born

if you want to create an off-the-wall story like that, you need to put some actual thought in to it

for example, "Rozen" was a master doll maker who was trying to create a perfect girl, why, so that she could be his "companion"
and how you "spin" that so that it becomes a more interesting story is you set up a situation that shows that Rozen is "special"
and for that, you look to other sources for inspiration, like the whole alien theory idea that writers like Von Daniken have been discussing for decades, and the idea that humans are actually not native to Earth, that we were "seeded" here (shown in movies like Prometheus {the prequel movie to the "Aliens" series of movies}, and in the movie Jupiter Ascending)
that would make Rozen "human" but not from this Earth, a member of an advanced civilization (which then gives a plausible explanation for the "Rosa Mystica", the source of the doll's "life")

I've finished Zwillinge. I'll finish off the cover pages and make an epub tonight

I've finished Zwillinge. It took a lot longer than I thought, the automatic translation needed to be completely rewritten. I tried my best to keep creative liberties to a minimum. The exceptions were reducing anime cliches, replacing them with western mannerisms fit for the time period. I referred to boku as a boy until you find out her gender (it was too hard to tell if the original did this) I also watered down some of the magic fights, as there was too much going on.

The book itself is pretty enjoyable to read. I liked it more than Rot Schwarz. Here's the completed version of Zwillinge. I hope you enjoy reading it:

I'm humbled that you fixed up my shitty machine translation, really am. I couldn't be bothered to fix up the grammar and other errors in it so props to you. Though, there's an issue with the lengths you took to fix it. I didn't feel that it was worth my time to go back and correct all the vague details because doing so in a accurate manner means going back to the original text and running it through Jisho instead of Google Translate. It's a hugely time-consuming process because, while Jisho gives a more accurate translation, it's one you have to make yourself with the tools the site gives you. Since you only worked off the machine translation some of the vague details ended up being incorrect. Some of it is a bit of an issue, but this is mostly me being nitpicky.

If you'd like, I can pass a burner email for you to contact so I can provide you extra material for a more accurate translation. Or if you'd like to pass on the opportunity that's fine too.

On another note, the last 2 light novels are an absolute bitch to run through Google Translate due to having to write out text in a language I barely understand (I used a digital copy for Zwillinge and I could at least copy/paste into Google Translate). If you or anyone else reading this thread is interested I can show you the ropes on how I do this and help out on the effort. Truthfully I don't have much of a start on it. Half an hour per 2 sentences is actual insanity, fuck kanji

Yes please, I've already started going back through and tweaking some little things. There were sections where the auto translate was so bad I felt I kind of just guessed what the hell was going on. So fixing things up would be great.

bad/corrupt files in Erinnerung

does anyone have the following pics from the Erinnerung set ... pages 15, 19, 25, 35, 36, 37, 48, and 50 ... the copies I downloaded have several corrupt files for pics

I happen to have two copies of Kunstwerk now, but sadly no scanner good or large enough to scan it i think

I'll keep my eyes open for a method to scan one of them properly, or has anyone found a copy of it without watermark?
